Coventry Foodbank | Food Banks in Coventry
Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.
Coventry Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks supported by the Trussell Trust and in partnership with Feed the Hungry UK. Founded by local churches and community groups, the foodbank works to tackle hunger in the local area. There is normally a foodbank centre open somewhere in Coventry six days a week as Coventry Foodbank distributes food through thirteen partner churches.
Coventry Foodbank partners with a wide variety of care professionals who issue vouchers to those in need. Clients typically receive three days worth of nutritionally balanced food and other support to help solve their crisis.
Coventry Foodbank relies entirely on donations. Click here for info on how to donate.
Coventry Foodbank is always in need of volunteers. Click here for more info on volunteering.
