Inspired by a road trip through the Southern states of America, Hickory's Smokehouse is a very popular family-friendly restaurant in the heart of the beautiful village of Burton Green in Coventry. Whether you're there to enjoy some cocktails with a southern twist, or for a relaxed family meal, Hickory's Smokehouse has something for everyone!

What's on the menu

The menu is packed full of the flavours of the Deep South, with classic smokehouse dishes such as Memphis ribs, Texas-style brisket and BBQ pulled pork all smoked low ‘n’ slow in their “Southern Pride” smokers. And let’s not forget burgers, subs, steaks and fajitas, alongside a range of vegetarian options.

Hickory's have got you covered with quirky desserts, homemade milkshakes & freakshakes, sodas, cocktails & a collection of over 25 bourbons to try. Plus easy-drinking session ales and a selection of bottles & craft beers. Guests are equally welcome for drinks in the bar as they are for dining.

Guests can expect a warm & welcoming environment, with plenty of new seating, from booths to larger tables for groups and families to enjoy. The new-look bar area is still complete with screens for watching all the sporting action, plus there’s a new outside terrace off the bar. Be sure to check out the Chef’s Bar – quite possibly the best seat in the house, where guests get to watch the chefs in action.

The popular covered wraparound veranda, a firm favourite for many years with guests has been re-imagined with new furniture & flooring, plus lots of authentic Southern touches – it’s a comfortable, cosy & the ideal spot to take in the garden views. Even when the temperatures are more wintery Warwickshire than tropical Texas!

Restaurant with Kids Play Area in Coventry

Inspired by a trip to South Carolina the drinking & dining terrace has always been a guest favourite, and the team previously added their heated signature huts to the garden. To complete the garden they have now added a new, safe and secure kids play area which makes the most of the beautiful countryside location.
