FAQs - Coventry Dynamite Cheerleaders

What is the dress code / uniform? In order to participate in cheerleading you need to wear leggings or shorts and a t-shirt. There is merchandise shop where you can purchase specific CD training items. You can find the link to shop here.

What age groups do Coventry Dynamite Cheerleaders cater for? Coventry Dynamite Cheerleaders offer classes for a range of age groups and ability levels between Reception and Years 7+.

My child is neurodivergent, can they attend? Everybody is welcome at CD Cheer, however neurodivergent children may be more comfortable in a Quiet Sparks session. Quiet Sparks offers a calmer, smaller group environment while still capturing all the excitement, teamwork, and joy of cheerleading in a supportive and inclusive space. Find out more.

Do children need any previous cheerleading or gymnastics experience? No previous experience is required. All abilities are welcome, and skills are taught progressively in a safe and supportive environment.

Is cheerleading safe? Safety is a top priority at Coventry Dynamite Cheerleaders. All sessions are coached by trained instructors, with age-appropriate routines, proper warm-ups, and a strong focus on technique.

How to find Coventry Dynamite Cheerleaders? The address is: St Augustine’s Sports Centre, Heathcote Street, Coventry CV6 3BL. When you arrive, enter Heathcote Street, then proceed straight towards the top of the road through the gates. Once on site, you are able to park within the parking area; parking is limited, so you may need to park on the nearby streets.

Once you are on foot, with the gates behind you, look straight ahead and enter the building through the sports centre doors. Once inside, turn right and go through the double doors. 

Can I drop my child off? Yes! CD Cheer asks that if you are dropping off, you drop off outside the gates and refrain from entering the site, as it can get busy.
