About the Alpacas

Faerie Tale Alpacas started breeding alpacas in 2008 and are committed to breeding healthy, happy animals with beautiful fleeces. Alpacas are friendly and intelligent animals who are hugely rewarding to keep and offer a sustainable alternative to conventional farming. Although originally from South America, these gentle camelids are ideally suited to life in the UK and can provide a wonderful, eco friendly lifestyle.

2 hour Alpaca Experience

Faerie Tale Alpacas is now open for Group farm tours. Come and meet the babies and learn all about alpacas!

The experience is 2 hours. The experience starts with a short talk about alpacas, then walk around the farm to feed the herd and meet the youngsters and finish by taking an alpaca for a walk (1 alpaca between 2). The actual alpaca walk is approximately 45 minutes. Please wear wellies as the farm tour crosses a stream.

Please note, the experience is not suitable for young children aged 5 and under.

Group Farm Tours are £22.50 per person. You must book in advance via the website.

60 minute Alpaca Meet & Greet

Meet the beautiful alpacas and mini Shetland ponies. Cuddle an alpaca, take lots of photos, stroke the ponies and meet the baby alpacas and foals! Suitable for all ages. Prices from £14.00 per person. Please book in advance via the website.

Private Farm Tours and Events

Faerie Tale Alpacas is now open for private tours. The experience is 2 hours. It starts with a short talk about alpacas, then a meet and greet with the young ones for photos. Then walk around the farm to feed the herd and finish by taking an alpaca for a walk.

Private tours can be arranged and are £27.50 per person (minimum 8 people). Suitable for all ages.

Important Information

Please be aware that there are no public toilets onsite.
Tours maybe cancelled due to bad weather in which case alternative dates will be offered.
All under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please note that all children must be calm and quiet around the alpacas as they are easily startled and upset.
