"We know how much Godiva Festival means to so many of you, so we want to share an important update: We’ve taken the difficult decision to pause Godiva Festival, meaning there will be no event taking place this year. Like many festivals across the country, we are facing rising costs and industry challenges, and it is important that we carefully review how the festival can be delivered in a sustainable and cost-effective way that is affordable for fans.

But we’re delighted to share that Coventry will still be bursting with energy this summer. A brand‑new programme of free and low‑cost events will take place across the city centre, at its heart will be Godiva in the City, a two‑day celebration on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July that brings together local artists, live entertainment and the unique spirit of Godiva Festival." - Godiva Festival
