The Wild Hunt Lantern Workshop - 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th & 29th October

Get crafty with this spooky lantern-making sessions! Join us at St Mary’s Guildhall, design your own lantern, and be part of the thrilling Halloween night parade through Coventry City Centre. The evening wraps up with a spine-tingling shadow puppet show.

Guildhall Ghost Stories & Tudor Superstitions Tour - 21st October

Step into seven centuries of history in one of Coventry’s most haunted spots! Learn about paranormal folklore and visit the medieval kitchen, where our Tudor guide will take you back in time to explore chilling superstitions, punishment devices like the ‘scold’s bridle,’ and more! 

Penny's Pumpkin Pickle! - 26th - 31st October

Pumpkin Penny is in a pickle, and she needs your help! Follow the clues around St Mary’s Guildhall to uncover the pesky pest that's been causing trouble in her pumpkin patch! Meet Penny in the Great Hall to craft a mini scarecrow, help solve her mystery. 

Meet the Guildhall Tudors in the Medieval kitchen and learn about Tudor medicine, superstitions, and even make your own plague charm and meet ‘WhatsIt’ the barn owl, also known as a ‘ghost owl!

Don’t miss out on the spook-tacular fun – bring your family & friends for a Halloween adventure like no other.

Accessibility

For everyone to enjoy St Mary’s Guildhall, there is a lift to the first floor and rising platform into the Muniment Room. There is a new spiral staircase to the 2nd floor and where access is not step free, 360 panoramic views of the rooms are available on the digital tour tablets.

There are toilet and baby changing facilities on the ground floor located opposite the Cloisters.
