Longford Park

Longford Park is the largest of the City's Area Parks and serves the North of the City. It is a well established green space with expanses of grass, colourful flower beds and a picturesque tree-lined river walk. There is a range of facilities for the whole family to enjoy, including a play area, skate park, and a multi-use games area.

The footpath system is ideal as a dog walking venue, aswell as an exercise facility using the distance marked routes.

Facilities at Longford Park:

2 Children's Play Area
The younger play area is fully enclosed and has the following:

  • Spring see saw
  • 2 toddler swings
  • Small roundabout
  • Birds nest swing
  • Medium size multi play climbing frame with rope climb and slide

The older play area is very well maintained and made from wood and natural stone. This area has a wide variety of exciting play equipment:

  • 2 junior swings
  • Large rope swing
  • Slide
  • Stepping stones
  • Tyre tunnel
  • Skateboard Simulator

Teen area:

  • Basketball hoop
  • Hangout area

Multi-Use Games Area
The games area is double floodlit and is suitable for activities such as five-a-side football, basketball, netball and tennis.

Skate Park
The skate park consists of a centre box, with a rail, wall and table top/ramp and half bowl quarter ramp.

Outdoor fitness area
There is a well equipped outdoor fitness area with the following well maintained equipment:

  • Leg raise
  • Pull up
  • Cross trainer
  • Seated row
  • Spinning bike
  • Bench press
  • Hand bike

Walking or Jogging at Longford Park
There are various walking/jogging trails around Longford Park - take a look at the notice board for more information.

Magic Mile
The Magic Mile event takes place every 3rd Sunday of the month - meet at 10am for a 10:15am start. The Magic Mile is a measured mile route that you can run, walk, skip or jump - whatever you like to get active.

Orienteering

DID YOU KNOW? There is a FREE Orienteering Course at Longford Park? It's a great activity to do with the kids, good for fitness, or for improving your orienteering skills! Find out more about Orienteering in Coventry.

The car park is open at the following times:

  • April & August: 9am - 6:30pm
  • May: 9am - 7pm
  • June & July: 9am - 8pm
  • September: 9am - 5:30pm
  • October - March: 9am - 3pm
