Oh So Swimple is an early water experience programme currently offering the following classes:

Baby's 1st Twilight Swim 

This is a beautiful, relaxed class - NOT a lesson. We invite both parents to introduce their baby to the water in a calm environment. 

We lower the lights and play relaxing music. Teacher poolside to demonstrate holds and moves if needed and of course capture the precious moments on your camera phone. 

Parent & Baby

These classes are perfect for little ones aged between 4-18m and their grown up. We use parent holds and moves so little one is in the comforting arms of their parent at all times. 

 Watch their confidence grow by using activities and songs to develop important skills such as

• 💦 blowing bubbles 
• 💦 water over the head
• 💦 Holding on and moving along the wall
• 💦 safe entry and exit 
• 💦 floating 
• 💦 submerging 
• 💦 water safety

Parent & Little One 

These classes have been designed for little ones aged 18m - 4yrs. 

For little ones under 2 we continue to use parent holds and moves. For those over 2 we introduce swimming aids to encourage independent swimming. 

We teach all the same skills as in the Baby Class and also:

Beginner with Parent

These classes are perfect for little ones aged 4 years and above who have already developed some water confidence but still want their grown up close by. We have a fewer songs and games and continue to work on all the skills above preparing the little one for independent lessons. 

INDEPENDENT - Confident Beginner Age 4yrs+

Only 3 children per class

These classes have been designed for children aged 4yrs and over who have had experience in the Swimming Pool, confident being splashed and can move freely around the pool wearing swimming aids without feet touching the floor.

💦 Introduction to Breast Stroke legs

Your child will start this level wearing a swim belt and arm discs which will be reduced gradually when they are ready. 

By the end of this level they will be able to confidently swim 5 metres front and back paddle and float without wearing any swimming aids. 

(This level matches Stage 1 and 2 of the Swim England framework) 

I have chosen to group as Confident Beginner rather than 2 separate stages because:

💙 Only 3 children per class means I can accomodate children of different ages and abilities,

💙 Staying in the same class for longer means children get friendly with others in their class,

💙 No need to move class when they reach the 'next stage' - less organising for parents.

Classes are held at Tiverton School, Coventry on Saturday Mornings, Tuesday and Thursday Afternoons (term time only) with some play sessions on offer over the summer holidays. 

Classes are small, with a maximum of 4 parent/child pairs and 3 children per independent class Book your place here.

About the pool

The pool at Tiverton School is lovely and warm, water is 32°C and air temperature higher. There are clean facilities, male and female changing with some private changing space. There is plenty of on site free parking.

Why Oh So Swimple?

Oh So Swimple understands the importance of play in a childs development. Swimming can be a tricky skill to learn if not enjoyed by the little one. There are many factors that can impact a childs swimming development, such as fear of the water, separation from their parent in a new environment and even boredom of swimming 'there and back' the entire session. Oh So Swimple's sessions have been designed with all this in mind. Our parent and child classes are not delaying your little ones swimming journey, in fact they are imbedding deeper connections with the water which allows for faster learning. Our lessons teach much more than just swimming. We also learn how to interact with other children, how to share and take turns, how to follow instructions given by the teacher but most importantly how to be safe in and around water.
