11 + Year 4 Keys Skills Booster Class

The 11+ year 4 booster class ensures your child builds the foundations for the core eleven plus topics that will give them the confidence and motivation to be in a very strong position going into the core programme of study in year 5 which Rakhee is also offering from Sept 2025. The Y4 11+ sessions will be targeted very much towards developing Verbal Reasoning, English Comprehension, Maths (including worded problems) and Non-Verbal Reasoning skills (including Spatial). 

These sessions are suited for children who have attempted some of the 11+ material this academic year and would like to consolidate what they have learnt or those children who are in the process/being considered of being tutored in year 5 in a very structured 11 week course. 

• Dates: 11 weeks starting April 2025 (Term time only)
• Timetable: Wednesdays 18:15-19:45 or Sundays 15:15-16:45 
• Suitable for: Year 4
• Class size: Max 8 per class.
• Pricing: £35 per session (total cost £385)
• Location: St Johns Church, 45 Westwood Heath Rd, Coventry CV4 8GN

There will be a clear programme of study over the 11 weeks covering all four areas where each session will be 1 hour and 25 minutes + 5 minutes where parents can come and get feedback for that session.

Each child will be provided with a work booklet every week to complete in the lesson and take home to consolidate their learning and complete homework tasks from. In addition, parents will be expected to mark the homework and (answers will be provided) log this on the homework sheet that will also be provided. Parents will also be expected to purchase 4 books prior to the first session and homework will also be set from there.

11 + Year 5 Tuition

The year 5 sessions involves  a specially crafted curriculum and is designed to allow your child to face the challenges of 11+ exam-style questions, building on what was taught in year 4. Rakhee covers everything your child needs to know to be able to sit the GL exam which includes Verbal Reasoning, English Comprehension, Maths (including worded problems) and Non-Verbal Reasoning skills (including Spatial).

• Dates: 39 weeks starting September 2025 (Term time only)
• Timetable: Saturdays 09:15-10:45 or 10:55-12:25 (commencing Sept 2025) 
• Suitable for: Year 5
• Class size: Max 8 per class.
• Pricing: £35 per session + 4 additional mock exams priced at £65 each (total cost £1625) 
• Location: TBC - Will be in either Westwood-Heath, Tile-hill or Balsall Common

There will be a clear programme of study over the course of the academic year covering all four areas where each session will be 1 hour and 25 minutes + 5 minutes where parents can come and get feedback for that session.

Each child will be provided with a work booklet every week to complete in the lesson and take home to consolidate their learning and complete homework tasks from. In addition, parents will be expected to mark the homework and (answers will be provided) log this on the homework sheet that will also be provided. Parents will also be expected to purchase 8 books throughout the academic year and homework will also be set from there.

There will also be mini assessments in lesson time  and  4 additional mock exams throughout the course of the academic year  to monitor your child’s progress and assess their needs further. Meet Rakhee

I am a qualified Secondary School Teacher with 10 years of experience including having taught in a grammar school and also being a head of department. I have 18 years of 11+ experience working with primary school children in all 4 areas and having just recently tutored my own son who took the Warwickshire 11+ exam in Sept 2024 and achieved a score of 228.

I also have 5 years of primary school experience working mainly with upper KS2 children. My teaching approach is very much based on helping children to develop their skills in a way that makes learning fun, engaging, interactive and motivating in small group settings which they can then apply to exam based questions. I am very much a believer of promoting confidence, self belief and positive attitude within my teaching in order to raise standards and add value.
