Pilates is a method of exercise which offers many benefits for the body, mind and spirit. The exercises are precise in nature whilst also being great fun, easy on the joints and very effective. They help to improve posture, flexibility, strength and mental clarity.
Swan Pilates | Online Pilates & Stretch Classes
Swan Pilates is a local business run by Karen Dobson, who is now offering live-streamed Pilates and Stretch Classes! There is video access for one week after each class, so if you can't attend a live Zoom class, you can catch up in your own time from the comfort of your home!
Live-streamed Pilates Classes
This is a term of one hour Pilates classes, suitable for beginners to improvers. Throughout the one hour class you will find that each classic pilates exercise has been sympathetically modified, so that it is suitable for most people. Additionally, each sequence of moves has a gentle flow throughout. Students have quality time to switch off from the world and to quieten the mind. Emphasis is always placed on the principles of Pilates, precise movements, with correct alignment and breathing to improve co-ordination, balance, flexibility, strength and posture.
Practicing your Pilates classes online, with Karen's support will help you to connect with the joy of mindful movement. If you can't make the live time, each class is recorded with the video available for you to use on demand as many times as you like during the week.
You can join at any time during the term and the price reflects the remaining classes only.
Live-streamed Total Body Stretching Classes
This is a term of slow, mindful, one hour stretching classes, suitable for complete beginners. Each class will help you to ease out your stiff muscles and help you to relax. Gently stretching your body from top to toe, so every part of you gets the long, slow stretch you deserve. If you can't make the live time, each class is recorded with the video available for you to use on demand as many times as you like during the week.
You can join at any time during the term and the price reflects the remaining classes only.
Live-streamed Stretch Class via Zoom - FREE TRIAL!
Would you like to try a new stretching class for FREE? If you are tired and achey with stiff joints and muscles, Karen wants to help. This brand new, Pilates-based, gentle Stretch class, has been especially created to help you stretch out your tired, stiff muscles in a very slow, restorative way. It’s perfect if you are finding your way back into exercise or just needing something to help iron out the lockdown stiffness.
The live zoom class is on Wednesday mornings at 10am. Your first taster class is completely free. Can’t make that time? No worries. I’ll give you the class video to use as many times as you like for a whole week.

How to Sign Up
Sessions are set up as a term of classes. You can join at any time during a course and the price reflects only the remaining classes in the term. Select and Book Your Class Here.
- Stretching classes are run live via Zoom on a Wednesday morning at 10am
- Pilates classes are run live via Zoom on a Friday morningat 10am.
If the 'live' time is not convenient for you, each class is recorded with the video available for you to use on demand at your convenience, and for as many times as you like during the week.
