The Art Shed | Art Classes in Coventry

Suitable for ages 4 and over, children's classes are designed to be fun, relaxed and personalised. Classes try to achieve a balance between structure and guidance to build and improve drawing and painting skills, while also allowing the freedom to develop creativity, self-esteem and independence. If your child has specific or specialised learning needs, Jackie is very happy to meet and discuss how they can work to meet these needs. The Art Shed aim to use art to develop confidence and communication.

  • Tuesday: 5pm - 6pm
  • Wednesday: 4:30pm - 5:30pm (ages 12+)
  • Thursday: 5pm - 6pm
  • Saturday: 10am -11am

Art Classes for ages 4-7

The foundation Art course focuses on developing visual competence for younger and less experienced Artists. The course focuses on developing skills and understanding with a view to Artists 'graduating' to join more advanced Art sessions once confidence and visual competence has progressed. Session groups are smaller so that Artists receive focussed attention on targeted skills. Find out more.

Art Classes for ages 8-12

Children's classes are designed to be fun, relaxed and personalised. The Art Shed understands that children have a variety of needs and individual goals. Classes try to achieve a balance between structure and guidance to build and improve drawing and painting skills, while also allowing the freedom to develop creativity, self-esteem and independence. Art Classes for ages 12+

Classes for older children and teenagers are relaxed and informal and encourage artists to be independent with their choices and their creative ideas. Students will work on a theme each week to produce an artwork and will be offered resources, ideas and guidance to get them started. The Art Shed can work towards a GCSE or A Level qualification, but students do not have to be taking Art GCSE to pursue art in their own time and it can greatly enhance their understanding and ability across the curriculum in other subjects.
